The Idea

We had the honor of collaborating with Estudio Herrera, a leading graphic design studio in Mexico, and Constantino Brito Grek, a digital media designer and artist, on a project for Cartier and Museo Jumex in Mexico City. The task was to create a digital replica of the iconic María Félix snake necklace, a piece of art crafted by Cartier for the legendary Mexican actress. The goal was to digitally recreate this celebrated piece of jewelry, which would be used for both high-quality renders and the official ‘Save the Date’ invitation for the upcoming exhibition.

The Process

To ensure that every detail of the necklace was captured with precision, we began by meticulously modeling each component of the necklace. This involved careful attention to the fine details of the metal links and the individual diamonds that make up the snake design. Once the modeling was complete, we moved into the rendering stage, where we created high-resolution images from multiple angles. This step allowed us to visualize the piece in various lighting conditions, enhancing its elegance and showcasing the craftsmanship.

After the renders were finalized, we worked closely with Estudio Herrera and Constantino Brito Grek to design the ‘Save the Date’ invitation for the exhibition, ensuring the snake was the focal point.

The Finished Prodcut

The final result was a series of stunning, lifelike 3D renders of the María Félix snake necklace, capturing its intricate details and beauty. These renders were prominently featured in the ‘Save the Date’ invitation for the Museo Jumex exhibition, building anticipation and perfectly reflecting the luxury and artistry of both the necklace and Cartier’s craftsmanship. The project successfully combined digital artistry with cultural heritage, allowing Cartier’s iconic jewelry to shine in a new, modern light.
