The Idea

To commemorate our first year as a studio, we wanted to do something special that not only celebrated our achievements but also introduced the personalities behind the work. The idea was simple yet personal: each member of the team would have the chance to introduce themselves in a fun, creative way through a series of three reels. These videos would give a behind-the-scenes glimpse into who we are, our roles in the studio, and share some quirky, fun facts that make each of us unique.

What set these anniversary reels apart was our decision to blend 3D animation with live-action, combining our love for digital art with personal storytelling. The challenge was to visually capture the essence of each team member—what makes us tick, what we enjoy, and who we are outside of work.

The Process

The creative process started with modeling 3D avatars of each team member. We wanted these characters to be a playful representation of us, not just generic figures. Our team focused on incorporating small but meaningful details that reflected our personalities—whether it was a favorite color, an object we always have with us, or a hobby we’re passionate about. These small touches allowed the 3D models to feel more personal and connected to each person.

Once the characters were modeled, we composed a scene for each reel that captured things each of us loved. These scenes were designed to be fun and lighthearted— each of us would be represented not just through words but through personalized 3D scenes composed of small objects that symbolized our individual tastes, interests, and personalities. These scenes would form the foundation of the videos, showing the audience what makes each team member distinct in a visual and engaging way.

With the 3D intros complete, we moved on to filming each team member talking about their role in the studio, what excites them about the work, and adding some fun facts for extra personality. The filming was casual and unscripted, keeping things authentic and relatable.

To add a playful layer to the final product, we integrated 2D animations alongside the live-action videos. These animations included little doodles or effects that interacted with the person on screen—like stars popping up when someone mentioned a favorite achievement or hearts when talking about things they love. This combination of 3D intro scenes, live-action footage, and 2D animations resulted in dynamic, visually engaging reels that were full of personality.

The Result

The final product was a trio of fun, vibrant reels that perfectly encapsulated who we are as a studio. Each team member’s unique personality shone through, from their custom 3D avatars to the candid moments caught on camera. The integration of 2D animations added a whimsical touch, making the videos more engaging and fun to watch.

These reels allowed us to connect with our audience on a deeper level, showcasing not just the work we do but the people behind it. They were received with enthusiasm, both from our clients and our social media followers, who appreciated the personal glimpse into our team. It was a fun and creative way to celebrate our first year, while also reflecting on the journey we've taken together.
